Bio
Andrew is a freelance photographer based in Melbourne. He specialises in editorial, commercial and PR photography.
Attracted by the smell of developing chemicals and the glow of a safe light, he discovered photography at an early age and was fortunate enough to turn his hobby into a profession.
Although he calls Melbourne home, his work has taken him around the globe from London’s Wimbledon Centre Court and the funeral of Princess Diana, to the Monaco Formula One Grand Prix and New York City’s famous Thanksgiving Parade. Closer to home he has covered the Australian Tennis Open, the Commonwealth Games, Melbourne Fashion Festival and Australian state and federal election campaigns. He has also worked for some of Australia’s leading daily newspapers and international publications including the Guardian (UK), The Times (UK) and the International Herald Tribune (USA).
Andrew is a regular contributor to the Herald Sun newspaper and other clients including Victoria Police, Boeing Aerostructures Australia, Associated Press (AP), Optus and National Association of People Living with HIV/AIDS.
With camera always in hand, Andrew is motivated by the interesting experiences of normal people and how each day brings a new challenge in the search for a unique image.
